AfN Certified Online Nutrition Course

Would you like to learn about nutrition and see beyond the various fad diets? Now you can learn the real facts about nutrition through an AfN Certified Course from the comfort of your own home, the same course that has been delivered to some of the UK's largest companies. In the UK 65% of men and 58% of women are considered to be overweight with 24% of men and 26% of women considered obese (The Health and Social Care Information Centre), so why not equip yourself with the tools to be able to help yourself and those around you.

You will learn about complex carbohydrates, polyunsaturated fats as well as the glycaemic index. We will then focus on understanding diets, well-being and obesity by examining the human energy balance, body detoxification as well as gaining a deep understanding of our metabolism.

We will also focus on examining special diets, children’s diets, marketing terminology and food labels. You will also gain practical guidance on how to affect human behaviour, understanding how to assess and measure dietary intake and how to adjust for specific needs. You will also learn about the dietetic management of disease, covering diabetes, disorders of the stomach, cardiovascular disease and food allergies.
