We will help to increase your metabolism

Did you know that different foods affect our body’s metabolic rate in different ways. Research shows that protein foods increase the metabolic rate by up to 30% compared to fats which will raise it by 4% and carbohydrates which raise it by 6%. By having the right mixture of foods, a diet can be designed to increase the metabolic rate of an individual even without performing exercise.

Did you know that if you have a weight problem you are likely to be deficient in B vitamins. These vitamins assist in the utilization of energy from the foods we eat, for example vitamin B12 helps in carbohydrate metabolism. Hence by eating foods rich in Vitamin B, you can significantly increase your metabolism.

Did you know that varying meals between breakfast, lunch and dinner speeds your metabolic rate as your bodies has to cope with breaking down different types of foods. Varying foods also provides your body with a more complete source of vitamins and minerals, thus enhancing the nutritional content of your diet.

Metabolism is defined as the rate at which food is broken down and this exercise can be increased through exercise as well as other lifestyle and diet changes. We will help by:
  • Measuring your current metabolic rate and assessing whether it is high or low based on your current body measurements.
  • We will incorporate foods in your diets which will increase your metabolic rate and help you avoid foods which cause it to slow down.
  • In particular we will incorporate more foods containing vitamin B, to help increase your carbohydrate and fat metabolism.
  • We will also vary that foods that you consume to help disrupt your bodies metabolic rate and to keep it going in between meals.
  • We will develop a tailored exercise regime that focuses on exercises that are more effective in increasing your metabolic rate and thus help you burn more calories during exercise.
  • We will tailor the frequency of meals and your food portion sizes to help to keep your metabolism rate going, even when you are asleep. This is because you provide a steady source of energy for your body to keep burning the food and hence less of your food is stored as fat.
